I am planning an overnight and day trip to Bruges in May 2023. Does anyone have any suggestions on a hotel or tour/guide? After seeing Bruges photos posted on 365, I added it to my bucket list…so excited!

I was in Bruges a long time ago. I stayed in Hotel Jan Brito, I really enjoyed it - I stayed in a room called "servant room" or "maid room", can't really recall. It was small but cozy.
Hi lovely, in Bruges last time we visited, we stayed at the Europ Hotel next to the Spanaardstraat bridge. It was lovely and very close to walk around the city. https://europ-hotel-brugge.at-hotels.com/en/ In Amsterdam, there are some lovely hotels along Singel, one of the main canals. Worth seeing what is available.
I haven't been to Bruges since 1986, so I'm no help hotel-wise, but I did really enjoy the canal tour, as someone else has mentioned. I'll look forward to seeing the photos of your trip.
It's been a few years since we visited, but I second (third?) the canal boat tour. It's a fantastic tour. Just be careful when you step on the boat, my mom lost her footing and almost fell over!
