I travel to Prague for a few days with some friends tomorrow and need some tips on good areas, preferably outside the tourist trail, for street photography. Is there some 365 members who can point me in the right direction.
I LOVE Prague! This is down along the river between the Charles and Paris Street bridges. Lots of local people walk along there as well as tourists like me.
The great place, where the big clock is (Old Town Square), is always very busy and probably noone will notice if you take pictures of them. It's very touristy but it could be nice to snap a few shots of the tourists expecting the clock to turn - it's always quite an event. The most interesting and definitely not touristy area I saw was the area around the modern art museum (Veletržní Palace - definitely worth visiting) - many run down but still beautiful houses and not too many people. Looking forward to your shots!!!
Hopefully this helps. I will also be in prague, in about a month or so. Would love to know what you think, and where you end up shooting! Enjoy.
