I went from Jan. 1st to April 6th with no problems and now I can not upload photos. I browse and pick one and it seems to upload. When I click the third step to add date and keywords it takes me back to the dashboard every time. I tried several times yesterday and today and I can not get it to work. Does anyone know why this happens?
@morrisphotos- I've been having some problems with it too, but mine freezes and closes my browser when I try to pick a photo. Have you tried the simple uploader? Sometimes it works when the other one doesn't. You could also try clearing your internet cache then logging back in. Make sure your flash player is up to date, or if you are using Internet Explorer, if you have another browser try using it instead....Mine tells me it is closing for security reasons and I'm not sure how to fix/change it, but usually works after a couple of tries....Hope this is helpful, if none of that works then I don't know! : /
I tried logging out and back in several times all day yesterday. Rebooted the computer. I do not know how to clear the cache but I will give that a try. My file sizes seem to be about the same as I have always used. I did get it uploaded through the simple uploader but it takes more time. I hope to not have the trouble today with my photo of the day.
(Assuming you are on IE) try this... Tools>Internet Options> Content (tab at top)> Go to auto complete and click settings>Delete auto complete history>Delete
Then close your browser and re-open it and log back in. **Make sure you know all your passwords and screen names if you do this because it will erase them and you will have to re-enter them when you log on anywhere. But, if something online is blocking your uploads this will take it off and you should be able to upload again. @morrisphotos
Oh, I bet it is...I'm not sure how to clear the history on firefox, it should be similar to what I posted up there....another thing you might try is uploading something on another website (if you haven't) if it won't upload there it is probably your browser or security, if it does it is probably a 365 glitch. Hope you get it figured out, its so annoying when this kinda stuff happens there are so many different things that can cause it : /
Ctrl+Shift+Delete brings up Firefox's "clear cache" thing, alternately Tools->Clear Recent History. Select "Everything" from the top dropdown, make sure Cache is the only thing ticked in the Details list (so you don't inadvertently lose all your saved passwords or anything) and hit Clear Now. Note that if you've upgraded to FF4 this might take quite a few seconds, but if you're still FF3 it'll be rapid.
Whether it'll solve your woes I don't know, but FF (although I love it to pieces) can be a strange old bean at times, so it's worth a try.
Well I have tried all of the suggestions here and still can not upload a picture the regular way. I can upload to any other place but 365 fine. I guess it has something to do with firefox and 365 interface. It is very discouraging and I am considering just giving up the project. I can upload through the simple uploader but it is soooo slow it is terrible.
