What are the best comments you have received? It can be something that made you proud of your work. It can be a criticism that made you look at your pictures in a new way. Or it could just be really funny.
Someone once said they really liked my style, which I think is most important of all (both having any recognizable style and having someone - anyone! - appreciate it!).
@laceyjogautreau I still appreciate the criticism that @timandelke gave me on an early still life. It is a gift to have someone respect your work enough to give an honest appraisal.
I have so many special comments I will have to come back to this lol but lately there were a few that really helped me deal with critism that was not constructive and I felt myself flounder for a couple days...so to everyone that supports me and my art thank you so very much and that definetly includes you my friend! @smapp
@loztsoul Well Trevor, that is now the kindest comment I have ever received. The comments are really the standout feature on 365 for me. It allows for a conversation. I am sorry to hear some of these conversations have been harsh for you.
@smapp your support has meant the world to me more than you know...and about the conversations 99.9% have been wonderful and its the others that take one photo without checking my entire portfolio that could easily be discouraging but its the wonderful followers such as you that make me just try harder the irony my best work has come immediately after I just don't let it get me down and then I tap into something brilliant...I think my best remix came right after a photo purest dropped me for remixing and then my best SOOC in my opinion right after so I think its important for us to remember its our project and lets just keep channeling all the positivity...and thank you so much for your support and favs...and your work floors me!
A while back I started a thread thanking everyone for being so supportive. The response was unbelievable.. not exactly photo related, but definitely proof of how awesome you guys all are. Things that were said include "you are an inspiration" "you brighten people's days" "I can only aspire that my children turn out as smart, funny and talented as you" and "you are a credit to your generation."
I can think of no bigger compliment than that; I have the thread bookmarked on my phone's internet browser so that I can read it when I feel down about things, anywhere I am. It took several minutes before I could pick my jaw up off the floor and actually compose myself after reading all those - I never thought anyone could ever possibly think anything like that about me.
Everyone leaves lovely comments so I don't want to single anyone out - just thought I'd share some of those with you.. because y'all are amazing. :)
They all help in keeping me going. I do this project for me, but sometimes I wonder what the point is. Then I get some funny uplifting comments that make me laugh and I get excited to post another. While writing the previous sentence, I came up with the answer to your question. My best comments are the whitty ones that make me smile and laugh. Bantering is fun with all these strangers out there!
@smapp Aw, thanx! This is what I love best about this site. I love the bonds of friendship I've made with people from all over the country, and the world. It makes coming home and jumping on my computer such a great experience. You never know what's waiting for you, in what corner of the world, and from whom. Always a pleasure to comment and converse with ya! ;)
I'm doing an A-Z challenge for myself right now, and I've mixed in a fair bit of my own humour into it (hey, this project is supposed to be fun, right), so I've had a few people tell me they can't wait to see what I come up with for the next letter - so it's nice to know that people are anticipating my posts:) But then, I feel the same about a lot of the people I follow - I really look forward to seeing what they're going to do next.
I also really appreciate that @wadey and @janmaki feel comfortable enough with me to throw some constructive criticism my way, I'm soaking up as much knowledge as I can while I'm doing this project!

You are AMAZING!! Every day I see your photos I think to myself if my children and my dog could see your pics they would beg to move in with you and leave me!
I have some absolutely amazing commenters. They read my descriptions/rants/rambles and take time to look at my photos every day. They are also hugely supportive and really make me feel better :D
I guess I'll pick out the most historically significant ones as my "favourites", which were from a girl called Ariana (who no longer posts here) as she was the first (as far as I recall) person with actual real photographic Mad Skillx0rz(tm) to follow me and tell me she liked what I was doing.
But really, I love anything coming from anyone I have a bit of a rapport with.
Also there was this one girl who posted a photo of a little shiny star and titled it in French something akin to "le blah blah étoiles" so I wrote a joke comment translating it as "something to do with toilets", due to the visible similarity of the words; she really didn't like the joke, and replied back telling me off for it. That was definitely a highlight.
A recent one of mine was "WOW! Such unique, creative, eye-popping photos. Nice going!" really meant a lot! :D otherwise all the fav's put a smile on my face!
I get a lot of really amazing feedback - on everything from my photography style, to my personality, to my hair (I do take a lot of hair photos :p) - so it's hard to narrow it down. Though, I will say that there've been people from here, who've said some really touching, kind things outside of 365 about my photos / style. Very flattering. And it means so very much to me :)
every comment means a lot to me really as i look at all the awesome work here and think when someone has taken the time to even look at a shot of mine gives me a boost.... i think the biggest boost for me is when someone whos work u love comments on your shot and says they like it or even favs it :) that makes my day hehe !
Someone quite big on this site told me that she couldn't have done what I did in a picture... That really meant a lot to me. :)
Don't think it was a commment though, but in some browse&pick...
Someone posted a comment on my most recent photo that said:
"Fabulously presented - I would say it was National Geographic worthy." That was the most unbelievable comment I've ever gotten. I don't think my photo is worthy of NG, but the comment was very much appreciated! Thank you @difeeney for that!!
I 'm with @flamez...every comment means a lot to me. But the ones that mean the most are the ones that are specific about what was liked. I also relish those comments that fall in the critique category because I'm all about learning to be better.
I really appreciate every comment that someone takes the time to make on any of my photos - and I am amazed and flattered every time someone faves one of my pics.
A comment from a few days ago that absolutely made my day was from @weekendhacker who said "You take wonderful pictures!! Great eye!!" - wow, what a compliment! :o)
One that made me smile "this made me chuckle. brightened up my morning", or another one "this could be in a magazine". What amazing comments!!! I also love it when people post funny things :D
I love every comment I receive, but some comments I'll always remember, like:
@kellyjo26 Another awesome one.. I have to tell you.. I am normally not a huge fan of putting quotes onto a photograph but you have changed my outlook on it.. You do it with such artistic grace and I love all of your photos. Keep doing an amazing job

i love each of the comments i receive...they inspire me to do better:0 however, @robinwarner once said that i captured childhood really well and that my photos had touched her...that made my day!!(thank you:))
@4stories thanks Liz...i truly feel that way...something about the way you raise your children and how you capture them brings me back in time. i just love that.
best comment for me when someone told me that i should make a book of my street people. that touched me and made me feel like maybe i have some ability to capture emotions. it was Constance Brinkley @seattle many months ago
The best comments I receive is when someone says that my work inspired them or caused them to think about certain important things in life. That is when I feel that it is all worth it!
I have been just overwhelmed by some of the comments I have received, but a couple that really hit me and stand out are from the following: @bluemoon Stunning image....I swear, you must live in the most photographic area in the whole world! Wonderful composition and warm colors. @gagaburree i love your landscape work wendy i think its stunning, and i feel you should be submitng it somewhere to be shown. @rhoing Like I said, you just spin around, open your eyes and push! Lovely, lovely image and a good choice for B&W!
There have been a few that compare some of my B&W shots to Ansel Adams and I am deeply moved by these comments!!

The nicest things that have been said weren't on here ( not that people haven't been kind on here!) but on my FB. About how they only hope I keep going even when this project is finished, one said they love seeing the world through my eyes and the view I have is inspiring.
I absolutely love all the comments and I try to comment back with the same enthusiasum.
I saved this one from Louise (weezilou) because it made my day.
“That's got to be an all-time winner! (Pardon me while I lift my jaw) This has to end up on the Popular Page... You've really done it today! Did I say, **WOW**”
When a picture of mine was selected for Pick 98 with the following comment. "what a fabulous and diversity album you have" and when I went into my calendar I noticed a new follower. now that made me smile and appreciative.
