I've seen some nude pictures here and I must say that they have been done with taste. I am thinking of uploading nude pictures myself but I hesitate. I mean how far can I go? Is frontal nudity allowed? I don't want to risk it if in the end I'll get banned and kicked-out.
Are there any rules? Guidelines? Please let me know. Thank you.
honnestly what I like in this project is that I can browse on the lastest page with kids and be sure nothing will be indecent. Nudity can be really artistic but to my personnal choice I don't think it should be here. Do what ever you want but don't forget that every body in the world can see the pictures. There was a discussion few months ago from someone who felt inconfortable because collegues saw her nude pictures on 365... your family, friends, people you work with, people where you shop daily might see you naked... now if it's what you want... :-)
I agree with Helene.
I think you have to consider that many of the members of 365 are children as well. I feel that is a very delicate balance on what you can show on here.. Some have accomplished this very well and artisitically within their photography. But you have to consider seeing images through childrens eyes as well. Just be very careful.
I would avoid it, unless it is very abstract. As Helene said, this site can be viewed by anyone, and there are things you just don't show children no matter how artistic the art may be. If in doubt, don't.
@parisouailleurs@michelleyoung
Thank you for your thoughts on the matter. Rest assured that if ever I will be uploading nude pictures it will be done with taste. =>
your project, your rules ...... !
id say go for it!
as for me, topless lng kaya ko ..... lols.
ive seen a lot of your "artistic " nude in multiply years pa, we were contacts there
except that you can control who can see your photos.
Go for it - what's wrong with kids seeing the human form, as long as it's done tastefully? It's natural, and all kids have a body by the way so it shouldn't be that surprising!
Make sure you do it tastefully. This isn't actually a kids' site.. yes kids can see it, but if they really want, kids could find most things on the internet. It's hard to block everything.
Just think: would you mind your friend/coworkers/parents seeing it? If it is suitable for your mum and dad then likely it wouldn't be too inappropriate for kids. Nudity can be, and often is art, so as long as it is artistic then nobody should mind. I would love to see more nudes on here (not in a creepy way!) and it would be a nice change from all the sunsets and things. (I like them too. I also like variety.)
@maceugenio ran a thread a day or two before posting his series of nudes back starting on the 6th March, to see what the response would be to him posting the nudes & he got a fantastic response from the 365 community... (sorry I've been searching for the thread but can't find it...)
Point being he created some amazingly beautiful, creative, artistic nudes as part of a series & again he received an amazing response for them too... & his lighting I think made the shots, as they highlighted all the right places & hid the 'bits' not to be seen...
I say go for it!
Again as others say keep it tasteful, be creative & show us your great shots! & I'd say you are, but just be sure you are comfortable enough with your own nudity & putting it out there in public for the world to view...
@gavincci Ohhh.. I didn't know that. But in all fairness, those nude photos of me you saw were taken by Jayd. This time around I'll be at the opposite side of the lens snapping a picture of a friend of mine who agreed to be "guinea pig."
@katiegc24 Thanks Kate. And yes, I'm guilty of shooting far too many sunrises and sunsets. Not that there is something wrong with it but yes, there should be variety. =>
This is a topic that, on a site with participants from around the world, you'll never get 100% agreement on due to differing cultural viewpoints. Here in Spain, for example, on any given "family-friendly beach", you will find children building sand castles next to topless women in thong bikini bottoms and no one thinks twice about it. But maybe in the U.S., for example, that same situation would be unacceptable.
The same will occur here... because of the "rules of decorum" may vary widely from one user to the next, some people will not be bothered by nude photos (or by having their children see them), while others will be. In the end, I think that if "the Boss" hasn't said anything about keeping nudes off the site, you should be OK.
@nathantology : Now I'm really excited to see them, too! Please post them! In my opinion there could be more artistic tasteful nude or half-nude shots on here as well - the human body is a wonderful object for photography.
I'm not one to lay down rules, but when i tried to upload something which might have been deemed as lets say too boob-y (no nipples though) It simply wouldn't let me! i tried and tried and as soon as i cropped it it went up.
SO... i'd say 365 have some sort of system in place. I think nudity is amazing good luck look forward to seeing what you do!
I dont see whats wrong with kids seeing the human body if its tasteful, its a beautiful thing. We let kids see violence on tv all the time and dont bat and eyelid, yet the human form is something to shield them from...I dont get it.
Its your project and you dont need permission from other 365'ers for what you post.
@katiegc24 i know i couldn't think how it could work cause it was the middle of the night and surely they don't employ someone to sit and check each upload, but alas as soon as i cropped the boobage out it worked. i might try again sometime :)
@sonialast Weird.. maybe something else about file size? "They" wouldn't employ anyone to check uploads because of it being run by one guy called Ross.
Try this though; if your photo is anything like any of those then clearly there isn't a problem. Also, I have seen plenty of almost-nudes on here.. nobody minds as long as it is tasteful. The more I think about it the more I think that there almost certainly isn't any censoring on photos here.
I'm really interested, I'd love to see your nude photographs. This isn't a children's site and you should be allowed to upload whatever you like as long as you find it artistic, parents are the ones responsible for what their children are shown. I don't think the human body is something children shouldn't be allowed to see anyway. Of course it's just my opinion. I'm really looking forward t it =D
+1 for tasteful nudes, I think it's a real shame that some cultures are so prudish they would find it offensive. I think we should risk to offend rather than finding the small set of acceptable subjects that offends no-one.
Other more mature photo / art sites have a labelling scheme to restrict viewing of certain subjects to an opt-in crowd... I'm thinking DeviantArt, but it has to be a conscious choice and investment in effort by the site owner @Scrivna
It's too bad there won't be a place to go with our kids without sex / nudity...... Isn't it enough to turn on our tv and try to find programs without this stuff? I for one use this site with my daughter, but, I guess I won't any longer. I think there are other places / sites for this type of photography.. If nudity is welcomed here, I for one will be leaving!!
As long as you're not standing there with it "ready for action" with both hands pointing at it with a huge dirty grin on your face, I don't see an issue
I've posted a nude photo so obviously I'm ok with it. It's your project, do as you wish. I do agree with everyone else though, just make sure you're comfortable with everybody seeing it. If you are, then do it!

I am encouraged with what the community have said in that thread and YES, I will be uploading a nude photo soon.
Though if you have family/friends/co-workers on here consider if you're comfy with that...
id say go for it!
