OK, so maybe I'm being somewhat on the thick side, but I don't know what this Danbo thing is all about and it seems to be popping up everywhere recently. Am I missing some big thing? It's cute, I get that. But where's it from?!
Funny you say that.. My big Danbo has just arrived to keep my little Danbo company :o)
Danbo is from a Japanese Manga comic.. Aimed at children. A little girl in the story builds a play friend called Danboard out of Amazon cardboard boxes.. And Danbo comes to life.
Danbo's are officially only released to the Japenese market, so they are very hard to get hold of. The one that just arrived here, I ordered around 3 months ago.
@eyebrows Thank you sir! That was a most informative and enjoyable excursion and infinitely preferable to the ten minutes of revision I could have been doing. Happy birthday, incidentally.
@michelleyoung I guess we'll be seeing some more Danbo adventures from your end soon then?
@eyebrows Happy birthday, please go outside today, even if it's just for a minute ;p
On a random note the steam/smoke thing - putting ice or maybe even just refrigerating the can should get the condensation drops and also the steam should shroud around it, looking like it's coming off the can... (heat differentials, aww yeah)
I think if the can's frozen and the steam's already going when you put the can over the steam maker it'd work best, aluminium has a pretty strong heat conductivity compared to water/ice so it may well stop drawing it in when it heats up... The condensation'll stay...
its from a japanese anime yotsuba & !
danbo is short term from DANBOARD.
here are some of of the great shots of a friend of mine .... http://www.flickr.com/photos/randymstaana/

I made An Website specifically to answer these questions :)
(Also I haven't updated it since making it, but I *do* have a submission from one guy to add to it...)
