Stumbled upon these photos (literally ;D) ... on stumbleupon.com. One of the interests I had the site stumble for me was photography.... and then I ran into these amazing photos. You must take a look, they are amazing.
Great shots! I could use lots more help with conceptual photography. For me these are great shots not because of a concept but because they are cool things to be seeing. Thanks for the link.
Edit: Lauren - it's the backlight, the lines (pointed toes and all), the reflection in the wood of the piano and how it changed the tones of the items reflected, and the texture overlaid on the image (I think I actually have that texture!) - for me, it is one of those images where there are many wonderful components that all work together. I loved many of the images there (some I didn't think belonged at all, but that's subjectivity for you) but that was the one that grabbed me - the one I'll remember.
you guys are so welcome. I always enjoy it when people share things like this on here. Out of curiousity... which of the 100 photos drew you guys in and why?
@lauren211
they're all amazing and there are quite a few that "drew me in," but #6 please talk to me again and #59 life is a journey are my two favorites. I can't really explain exactly why though. they just touch something deep inside me. with #6, I can imagine the conversations between the girl and her doll. what it must touch inside me is from my own childhood. and with #59, I think it's the title and the photo together. one of my personal mantras is "life is a journey" so I look at the photo and imagine where this lady (and her dog) has been and separately, all that the boxcar has seen and experienced during it's lifetime.
thanks for sharing!
