This website is so unbelievably slow right now! And it's aggravating me. A great deal. Just havin a little rant there. I'm ok now. I will now attempt to continue commenting on your photos.
Thank you for bringing that up! I thought it was just me! I agree with Alecio above - it has been for over a month, and I was blaming our internet. I use Google Chrome which is speedy for every other website I visit. I wonder if another browser would work better??
I so thought it's my pc being moody. It's been very slow for weeks now. Last night was the worst, I had to wait for some minutes before I could retrieve my album. :-(
There was a big thread about this last year, because the site was running slow. The site is practically run and funded by one person Ross. Funds don’t come out of nowhere for running of the website, but those who are ace members contribute towards it investing in new equipment etc etc which of course will help quicken the flow of the website. But I guess you also have to consider the website has 40,000+ members all logging on at different times of the day across the world which can affect the website flow of traffic.
I would like to clarify this is not aimed at anyone who is not Ace membership , nor am I preaching for the website. I’m merely saying this is what was basically discussed last year and I think a bunch of people signed up and I think eventually, Ross did upgrade the servers….and yea ultimately things did speed up :)
In agreement! I've had to just shut it down several times because it's too slow..and my other bugbear is when comments don't save, even when you leave it to cogitate for quite some time.
hey, i've been doing a lot of work on this over the last 2 days, you should start to see it improving now, have made a lot of changes. Hope you like :-)
Hasn't been a problem for me... but I can sympathize with those who are frustrated because I do have some sites is use for work that load exceedingly slowly... I usually start the page loading then go do something else while I wait. So far 365 has not had slowness issues for me... But thanks, Ross, for all your hard work on the site.
people is not the site that has issues....all this is hosted on a server may it be real or virtual and let's face it there are a lot of pics uploaded which means a lot of processing for server....

@Scrivna Not had any problems and continue to enjoy the wonderful service that you provide .... people all over the world united through photography ... what's not to like?!! And I quite like being forced to pace the day without wanting everything to be rushed and instant! Time to reflect and enjoy is good in every day. And the pictures here are certainly worth taking time to look. Thanks again for being the creative genius who designed and who maintains this great place!
@elizabeth the only thing that was bothering me about the slow speed was being able to comment on other photos. I have a little toddler that's verrrry busy, so I have limited time to be on here and enjoy other's photos and it was taking an average of 5-10 minutes for me to comment on each photo. Just wanted you to know that I'm also very appreciative of the service that Ross provides:)

Amazing site and I have never had any issues with time in uploading or viewing. I just joined today because I definately want to give back to something I take so much pleasure in. thank you.

About twice a day Chrome says Oops, I find leaving it 10 mins then refreshing the page helps.
