Nikon Coolpix L120

I'm thinking about getting the nikon coolpix L120. I'd love to get a dslr but they're out of my budget unfortunately :[

If you shoot with a nikon coolpix what are the pros and cons of it?

I can afford it and want to get it for my birthday [Monday]

Any help would be awesome!
