Just finished watching the doc "Bill Cunningham, New York.' It is streaming on Netflix and is simply great. Bill has been doing a fashion on the street column for the New York Times since 1978. I have never seen someone so completely and joyfully dedicated to their profession.
What movies/documentaries about photography do you like?
There is a PBS series I discovered on Netflix called Art 21. It presents 20 minute segments on different US artists, including photographers. It's great for seeing different processes and approaches to art.
I love the movie Knife in the Water. It's not a documentary, but to me every frame is about photography.
@smapp P.S. Thank you for recommending this Bill Cunningham documentary - I'm watching it right now and it is absolutely delightful. Some of my favorite characters are in it - Iris Apfel, for starters. :)
