Hi all, I started my project today. I was really looking forward to it and I think it's going to bring me a lot of joy and improvement in my photography skills.

Welcome to all the new folks. Take your time to explore the site. Comment, view, browse, take part. Biggest thing I've learned is that you get back what you give out. There are lots of wonderful photographers on this site to learn from! It's been an awesome community to be apart of!
Welcome all new 365ers. This site should come with a warning, it is very addictive.
A few things spring to mind which might be helpful to you as you start your project:
As everyone has already said, go look at others work, comment and follow others. In return you will have views, comments and followers of your own.
There is only one real rule for this site, do NOT try to pass of someone elses work as your own, trust me someone will notice and then generally your account will be deleted. It's really not worth it!
Other than that, it's up to you. Do a photo a day, a photo a week, use fillers for gaps or leave gaps if you want. Upgrade to an ace account and have 3 folders to use as you wish. You choose, it's your project. No one will tell you you're doing it wrong.
You can't usually add photos more than 2-3 days ahead of the current day but you can always add photos to an earlier date.
If you are short of inspiration have a browse on the popular page or new faces pages for ideas.
Speaking of the popular page, it can be a great feeling to get on there but it's not the be all and end all so don't worry about it if you're not on there. Remember, the popular page photos are chosen by magic monkeys, monkeys don't always get it right!
The search bar is your friend. If you want to ask about something, anything, chances are it has been asked before and if you search you may find your answer.
Finally, enjoy it! There are so many wonderful people on this site, I have loved beign part of it and I'm sure you will too.
It's my second this year, and can't wait to see what the world will look like through my new lens i'm going to order!!! Also, very excited to see what work newbies can come up with - some can be extremely good!!
I will also be starting today! I tried this last year, made it over 200 days and then life got in the way. I missed this site too much so now I'm back with a new account and determined to do this!!!
Looking forward to trying to keep up with this.. I have an iPhone 4, and a Nikon D60 (although I know next to nothing about using it) hoping to learn some things that helps me to stop taking so many snapshots, and get some real photographs that can tell the story of our family..
Hi Everyone I only really started getting into photography last year so this is my first 365 project. I hope I will learn lots and make some new friends along the way.
Can't wait to get started. This is my first 365 project. I've upload my 1st photo. I bought my first DSLR in November after my favorite point and shoot died. I also love taking pictures with my iPhone and iPad. Looking forward to growing as a photographer.
I take part in this project from now on because I enjoy taking photos very much, and I would like to improve myself. I don't have a really good camera so I won't be able do to as beautiful photos as I see!

Hi, I just started today (waiting for the first has been hard but I wanted to start in a new year, lol). I have had my Dslr for three years now and have spent the last year taking workshops and mastering shooting manual. Cannot wait to learn from all of you!

this is my second attempt, started half way through 2010 and managed a couple of months before i missed a day, so have now got two cameras so I can easily pop one in my pocket.

Hello and Happy 2012 everybody! Uploaded my first photo today. Been waiting until Jan1 to start my project. I'm hoping it will be therapeutic for me. I've enjoyed looking through tons of photos this today. Great stuff.
