Today, I decided to do some street photography, in downtown Austin, Texas. As I was taking photos of a wall mural, a homeless woman walked up to me. She asked me if I could spare some change, so I gave her a few dollars from my coat pocket. As she turned around, she saw that Marilyn Monroe was part of the mural, and her eyes lit up. She told me that she was a huge fan, and that her name was Sassy Grace. I asked Sassy why she was such a big fan of Marilyn Monroe. She responded, “Because she was everything that I’m not.”
