For those of you out there with Fixed 50mm for your DSLR

I am thinking of doing a Fixed 50 challenge.

I am wanting to do this because I have pretty much disowned my 50mm F1.8 For the past year, well just forgotten. lol

So for the next week starting tomorrow I am going to be only using that lens.

That means no zoom or wide angle lenses for a week. :-)

@cvanheel LOL - pretty much no chance of that! :D I'm a big fan of my fifty - I am about to the point that, if I can't get the photo with that lens, it's not a photo I'm interested in taking. :)

I could go a week, except between the hours of 2-5pm on Saturday, when I hope to catch the New Year's parade in Chinatown. What can I say... I'm weak. Though I could give the 50 a try, while pocketing the telephoto.. just in case.

I got mine last week for my birthday and been using it ever since although today has been a disaster with it. I'll give it a go but not promising anything. I never know what I'm shooting from one day to the next :)

This could be a plan. A couple of years ago I started a 365 project (on Facebook) using only an aperture of f/1.2... I only made it through about 2 months due to having no time, but I've often thought about doing it again.

I'm with you in spirit, I love 50mm, I got a Ricoh about two months ago, but I was shooting recently on an OM1 with a 1.8 Zuiko 50mm, sooo sweet. But I can't be arsed taking photos right now, so good luck.

When you post to your project you need to add a tag - any words are fine - eg fifty-week , and then we can all use the same tag, and then you can search by that tag for entries. (we can post to this thread as well if you like). You just need to decide on a tag and let us all know :)

@cvanheel Just tell folks to tag posted photos in their albums with Fixed_50_Challenge and then everyone (and you) can search for the photos on the 365 site. Tags are placed when you upload to your album in the tags area.

It needs to be in quotes if its Fixed 50 BTW. Otherwise it'll tag as two words.... or try it as Fixed-50 or similar.

@snaggleture Ronnie, make sure to include the quotes and space when tagging "fixed 50". Looks like you tagged your image fixed, 50, and fixed50, and it's not showing up with the other entries. Nice looking shot!
