After a very close vote, the winner of the Max Dupain Artist Challenge is Gary @gurry with a stunning self portrait. The photograph is a re-interpretation of the portrait by Max Dupain of the great Australian artist Norman Lindsay.
Congratulations to all the finalists, and especially to Judith @judithg whose magnificent photo taken under the cloisters at Cambridge was pipped for first place by a few votes.
Big thanks also to Richard Tyson for setting up the artist challenge user and working on getting the new artist challenge started.
I am looking forward to the next challenge to be hosted by Gary.

If I can find the time to get the next competition rolling while on vacation, I certainly will. If not, it shall certainly be done by the middle of next week!
