I have just now discovered low key photography and i am in love! Had a play for this weeks theme 'temptation' and below is my results. I am certainly gonna try some more of these. Takes a lot of fiddling and shifting position to get just the right lighting but when you do the shots are awesome! Please show me your low key shots, i would love to take a look!
I have a whole series I've made recently while almost unable to see with a persistent blinding headache, exploring how isolating it is. Here are some of my shots;
I'm not sure I got the concept quite right. Most descriptive explanations of low key only mention single light source and the use of shadow. What seems to be implied, and holds true with all the examples I've seen is that the light should be "low" in intensity as such. Mine used the FULL BLASTING LIGHT AND HEAT OF THE SUN!
@sjodell That certainly is low key! It is basically low lighting that highlights a subject and creates a dramatic effect, so yours are perfect = ]
Keep em coming, these are great = ]
Here's the one I did for last week's theme.
And for this week's selfie challenge
This is one taken at a church
This one, though coming from a single light source, is very very bright. so I'm not really sure if it's still low key
here's mine from today!!
here's one from last week theme!
One of my all time favs:
And another fav:
Not sure if this one counts as low key:
Not so sure about this one, though?
