processing challenge ?

January 26th, 2013
I'm the worst at organizing anything and I am swamped right now, but...
I think it would be a really cool idea to have a processing challenge for us beginner processors, sort of like the camera settings challenge.
Is anyone willing to either start or run something like that?

I guess a good start is looking at my latest how-to videos.

There is a challenge like that, keep your eyes open for the subject WWYD75 it stands for "What would you do". The winner of the last challenge posts a picture and you have to edit it to make it different. I'll find a link to the latest :-)

@tigerdreamer @agima @melwolters @gemtumble I always thought it would be cool for people who have done a certain type of processing on a shot to posts the steps they took to do the photo especially if it gets lots of comments and Favs. Almost a tutorial specific to that photo but would teach you skills that maybe everyone dosnt know. I actually would consider doing this for a recent shot I took as it is a very simple process but lots of people have commentsed on the results. Some people may get inspired from this? ANyway this is the shot I was talking about. Keys skills would be:

Porducing motion blur in multiple areas
Background erase
Sectional hue/satiration
Gradiant masks

Some may sound simple some people might not have a clue

If anyone is interested speak up and I will find the time.

@brav Definitely! it looks fantastic!
January 26th, 2013
@brav I'd love to know how you did this
January 26th, 2013
@brav I would definitely be interested in something like that. What always "scares" me about editing is knowing the sequence to get to the end product. You can end up with different images just by doing steps in a different order.

@brav me too, please!,,,,,,

@brav Yep, this is gorgeous, I'd like to know.

@Cheesebiscuit --- What a great way to learn how it works! ;-)

I think a processing challenge would be cool... Not like wwyd, but more like take a photo and process it to get a certain effect... Maybe w some instructions on basic steps like @brav provided

@brav @northy sounds to me like Richard might be volunteering to set up our first one.
Would you please? That's exactly what I meant, northy.
I am going to thank you in advance Richard. A great big fat THANKS. @agima Brendan somehow I missed the dance one, but I loved the restaurant one. We would love you to host as well. I know there are sooo many wonderful examples of processing on 365 and I hesitate to tag individuals for fear of hurting someone's feelings if I left them off the list,

If you are willing to host or know a great process person please tag them.
