“ETSOOI is an acronym that was started by MaryBeth @espyetta that means means edit the sh#t/stuffing/shenanigans out of it.. It is the war cry of the hopelessly PS addicted and here on 365 we like nothing more than to feed those addictions.
The challenge will start today May 21th and end Saturday May 25. Your picture must be taken during that time. Voting will commence as soon after this time as I have looked through the entries and picked five finalists. The winner will host the next challenge and choose it's theme.
This weeks subject is REFLECTIONS. Lots to play with there, so have fun.

Hmmm sounds interesting...anyone care to share their work for an example. I'm not sure how much editing you do....I mean you can take ANY picture and edit it to look like anything.....not even resembling the photo...or is it just edit to change a feature or color saturation for example?? Let me know....

@megmills that is the million dollar question! Lol! We started the challenges sort of light heartedly last summer...and learned criteria was hard to nail down. I will find one to post..also, do a tag search for ETSOOI ...see what is there. And search out the past ETSOOI challenges to see finalists. It also helps to explain in your write up all the procesing steps you used.

Here is one I did last week. I wrote everything I did to get this photo to the end result. The original would have curled your hair....it was a rubber Martian flash drive, hanging I. The air, stuck between two planets on a dusty plastic solar system model....haha!
I would call the ollowing pic ETSOOI... My criteria is it has to not look SOOC and not even just suble processing....but obvious processing. ETSOOI challenges are tough because there is so much wiggle room in the critera. If you take a nt so amazing photo and make it a good photo by doing a ton of edits....that is the essence of ETSOOI. Did I jut say "the essence of ETSOOI?" Haha! I thnk I dd.
@espyetta@megmills I remember the very first challenge. I think you Marybeth and Katy worked together on this - right? To my memory there really were no rules. It was an opportunity to do whatever you wanted with processing and some of the originals had some pretty wild editing. I think the host who selects the finalists is going to pick finalists based on his/her own taste and perhaps over processing photos will never be selected from those hosts. But when when you think of the title it is go ahead and edit like crazy it is ok with this challenge. Wouldn't you agree?

This is the moon over Halswell Quarry taken at Sunset - the original was virtually a B&W so I tweaked the tones and added the lake then just mucked around with it until I ran out of ideas -This is the link to the original:

Oops, I guess I should have posted my question here, not on the voting page. I tagged a picture I took today for this challenge, but the short list was already chosen earlier in the day. I thought the 25th was the last day to post. Did I get this wrong?
