This is a splash macro shot. I'll be looking at creativity, color, crop, spot healing, sharpness and noise reduction. Feel free to edit the colors, etc.
It's rather dull looking right now. Bring it to life!
I edited in Lightroom 5, which I'm still acclimatising to, coming from Photoshop. I still am only using basic features of Lightroom, but this hasn't come out too bad for about 5 minutes of effort!
@alisonp I added the DNG version. You should be able to open this in PS CS6 or PS Elements version 9+
@yvonnekishna There are two links "My Raw File" and "My DNG File." Click on one and download the file. Then edit and upload and tag it with rawcomp4dmt. That's all!
I had fun with this one. i have never worked on a Raw challenge before. I really like what was done already so I thought I would try my hand a a b/w edit.
Just corrected "as shot" and with a more pleasing vertical crop I trust. I like the symmetric placement of the big circle. And noise and spot removal, both of which I think distract significantly. Yes, even if the spots are droplets, most came out wrong I think. I wasn't trying for any color or subject adjustment, both of which I find pleasing.
Started in LIghtroom and futzed with tint and temperature. Then off to Photoshop where I applied a radial blur of the zoom variety. Back into Lightroom to crop and play with tint, temperature, whites blacks, saturation, and whatever else struck my fancy. Applied a little vignetting, et voila!

You don't need to take a photo, just edit the one that is provided
