Yes, let's keep the Macro March love going! I know many, many of you joined us again this week, and there are now more than 400 photographs from last week, tagged macro-march2. I also know that a lot of us (myself included for awhile, whoops!) just kept using the original macro-march tag, since there are now nearly 1200 photos there too. Whoa! You all are amazing!
To try and keep up with new shots, let's go ahead and update to the tag, macro-march3 for March 15th-21st. If you've already uploaded shots, feel free to edit your tags accordingly.
Just a reminder that if you are sharing a photo to this discussion or tagging a photo for the theme, please try to spend a few minutes searching the tag and commenting on two or more other Macro March photos. Everyone loves comments and feedback, and with so many amazing photos, no one person could keep up with them all! You can even go back to previous discussions and leave comments:
Finally, if you want, we are having an optional "mini theme" for each week. Last week's theme was "thinking about backgrounds." This week, let's think about "unexpected macro." If you want, try tearing yourself away from the pretty flowers, buzzy insects, and other traditional macro shots. Try to think of an unusual subject or approach a completely mundane subject in a macro way.
Wow, so many of you! If you were not in the list above and would like to be (just means you get a notification of new posts), please let a comment in this discussion asking to get added. Thanks!
I went on a search for my close up macro filter (inspired by your article!) and found it hidden in the depths of my gear from 35mm days! I had fun with it today, so may have some shots to post that satisfy the mini-theme!
Thanks Katie -- you're so good at keeping this interesting! Wonderful idea to go for the unusual (said after just taking about 20 photos of some daffy's blooming in a bouquet I bought yesterday).
I did not read carefully and have tagged mine wrong ....I need to look. But you are saying that each week we change that last number, right? Makes sense!
@bernadette This is fabulous! What a hoot! I bought my first nanoblocks over Spring Break. I haven't worked up the courage to open the package yet, but after I make the "real" models, I'm going to let my Lego Mini-me have a go at them! She needs a hoby too. No reason you should be interested, but I've posted a few photos of her tagged trs-mini-me.
I have SO enjoyed this theme, @archaeofrog . I love macro's anyway but this was a good excuse to shoot them almost every day. Here's one of my latest...

Here's a first for the week. Have fun everyone! :)
