Hello. I adore b&w photography. I am thinking about a fortnightly b and w based challenge. Perhaps similar to others and each fortnight have a theme for the images. Basically first of all assessing whether anyone interested. Please reply if you are and I'll take it from there. Look forward to hearing from you all.
Hey Newbank Lass, I'd definitely be in it even though I don't really like B&W!!! Might push me along a bit to do some more of it and try to enjoy it :) I'm thinking that @yrhenwr could join - his B&Ws are incredible :)
I'd love it. I like a challenge--although I have come to stop working on things that pick finalists and have votes--only because I don't have time these days for keeping up and finding themes/challenges that include votes, but I'll keep an eye out.
I might suggest you try to announce ahead for Wednesdays which used to be Black and White Wednesday (with tag BWW) for those who used to do it (I haven't in a awhile) so you could issue a specific challenge and have it appear that week under that tag? Just an idea.
From this afternoons response seems there is interest. So on Monday I will start a new challenge called "Black & White Fortnight" Each fortnight on a Monday a new theme will be set for black and white images during the following fortnight. At present I have some ideas for themes. If this challenge takes off and people enjoy it then I will probably ask for some ideas on themes that people would like to be challenged with. There are lots of challenges on here that end with voting so I feel for now I will go with the favourite fav of another 365'er from the fortnight approach. I'll get that thread going at the same time as setting up the new theme for the fortnight. The tag will be b&w-fn-1 for the first one with the number changing each fortnight but I'll put the tag up each week. Hope this makes sense and will be something you all enjoy. That's it for now I'll post again on Monday for the first fortnight. Thank you one and all.
@newbank I love b&w too.
Sounds good, but I'll dip in and out for the moment until I have a bit more free time, but please tag me so I know what the themes are, then I can do one if I get an impulse or opportunity.
Enjoy the hosting, can't wait to hear your theme ideas. I like the idea of the fav fav of another 365er as we are doing for the patterns and textures, its a great way to showcase other peoples work. (PS, I really wish I knew the name behind new bank lass, will you share it?)
It's awesome that you are doing this!

And maybe I'll try too :)
