A huge thanks to Vikki @summerfield for hosting Album Cover Challenge 37. I'm honored to host Album Cover Challenge 38 and want to thank those who took part in the last challenge. There were some great entries and I appreciate those that voted for my album cover.
Please think about submitting and ask your followers/friends to join, too! You don't have to know anything about music or design to participate in the fun.
Here's how it works:
1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia link and choose the link for "random article" on the top left side of the page. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band.
2. Go to http://www.quotationspage.com link and choose "random quotes" from the left menus. Scroll down to the end of the page. The last 4 to 6 words of the very last quote on the page are the title of your album.
3. Next, find or take a photo of yours that fits the album name and artist(s). Album covers are usually square.
4. Then, use your favorite editing program to create your cover (or, if you don't have one, Ace members have free access to picmonkey.com -- and there are many other free programs out there). You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images and do all processing for the cover during the time frame of the challenge.
In addition to tagging your image, consider posting your album to this thread, too. It helps keep this thread alive. That means it will show up on the discussion lists to the right of the home page. It also helps bring in more participants!
To post a photo on this thread:
1) Go to your page that has the photo you would like to post.
2) Click on the three dots just below the bottom right of your picture. Find the 'Embed Code' box and right click on it to copy it, then paste it to this thread.
Challenge 38 begins now, Thursday, October 16, 2014, and ends on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at midnight, Daylight Savings Time (Central Time Zone-USA). All entries must be between those dates. If you have any questions or need help getting started, just post to this thread. I look forward to seeing your entries and welcome new participants!

@dibzgreasley - I apologize, but I just saw your message above. I had been wondering when the next album challenge was going to start then noticed earlier this week that you started one. But then I couldn't find it a few days later . . . However, in looking back at the entries for challenge 38, it appears that I am the one that dropped the ball and didn't have a vote. @genealogygenie So, just trying to make sure I'm understanding...Would we put all entries up for a vote or, does Kim need to pick her top 4 (or 5) finalists and proceed with the voting? Should we combine the #38 with the #39, run the contest for another 7 days and then pick a winner? For me, personally, I just don't want my entries to be "lost." As long as they are part of the "oid" or "new" contest--(not expecting to be a finalist) I will be satisfied!
