Thank you to all who suggested words for June '15 Word List.

Please note that the dates are just recommendations and you do not have to stick to them, you can use any of the 39 words in any order you like.

The tag for June will continue in the same format as before, First three letters of the month, the year and then ‘words’ (jun15words).

This is how I have compiled our list:
- First, I removed the words that were used in March and April.
- Then tallied the number of times each word was nominated.
- The words with the most nominations were then added to the list by dates associated with them.
- Words with the most nominations and without a date association were added randomly throughout the month.

The bonus words are: Birthday, Anniversary, Gemini, Cancer (star signs), alexandrite, moonstone, pearl (birthstone) and Rose, Honeysuckle (birth flowers)

And here is the list:

1. Mountains
2. B&W (black & white)
3. Repeat
4. Graduation
5. Macro
6. Blood
7. Committee
8. Freedom
9. Fun

@debrac
Hi Debra, you are a star for doing this every month, thank you. So great to see a balance between summery and wintery words as well.

Thanks again Debra. I am going to punish my self even more this month as I am going to try and complete this months words and the 30 Days Wild challenge...

That should be interesting...

Thank you Debra. Thanks for all the work you do on this.

@imaginings No, I didn't, and I'm not sure how I did that. Thanks for pointing it out, though. I think it would cause extra confusion if I tried to change it now. I guess we get a little extra practice with our water shots.

There is enough extra words anyway - although I live in a remote community, and as it is winter when specific plants are mentioned they mostly aren't around, and things like weddings just wont happen, so the extra words are useful. Having water twice is good for me as it is one of my favourite subjects.

Just another small thing I noticed -there is a typo in the tag as it says may15words rather than jun - although you have jun15words on the next line (and it should be obvious to most people anyway as your explanation is great. Also the the link to viewing doesnt work as it has "" at the end of it. I got there just by typing in the keywords in search and

May was the first word challenge I did - and it was great to extend my subject matter by finding each of the words in the list.
Due to thesis and other time constraints, I will from now on just do the words I can find, rather than trying to find all the words on the list - at least for a few months - but it is still a nice challenge

Thanks for all your work in putting the lists together - great job. I'm looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

How does one join in on a challenge? This one I found by accident and I think I would like to give it a try. Let me know. Thank you.

@lindamp5 you just tag your picture and it posts on the page with everyone else using the same tag, here jun15words, then to see that page, the simplest way is to find the tag on your picture after you post and click it. It will take you there.

@lindamp5 Hi LInda. I'm happy to hear that you would like to join the fun. As Dixie @pandorasecho stated, just upload your pictures and add the tag "jun15words". You can also browse through and comment on pictures that others have uploaded, by clicking on the link above, or copy and past the link Dixie provide in your browser. I will add you to the list so that you get notifications when we start nominating words, and when I have finalized a new list (once a month).

What is bokeh?
June 30th, 2015
@lindamp5 Linda, it is most commonly associated with lights and the shapes you get when they are used with a shallow depth of field - throwing them out of focus. There is also the kind, such as the bird that I posted, called cream cheese bokeh: It is where the background has some highlights that can't be discernable. This is a really generic description. You might want to look at the articles posted here: bokeh articles
