Thanks to Jane who hosted ETSOOI-55 and to all who participated and voted. I was excited to see my windmill shot so well received. It's time to start the next ETSOOI challenge, using tag ETSOOI-56.
ETSOOI is an acronym started by MaryBeth @espyetta. It means EDITING THE SORRY-NESS OUT OF IT, or EDITING THE STUFF OUT OF IT, or EDITING THE S*&^% OUT OF IT. It was meant to be a processing strategy to use when your "photo of the day" was boring as it was or for those who simply enjoy highly processing their photos. Use any editing program you like, the more the merrier! Be creative, and most of all have fun!
This theme can have a focus, like the previous one did (sky) or can be open to anything you'd choose. I hope all are okay with a theme-less one. Take any photo you think would benefit from some fun editing and go for it. I hope we'll have many different and unique ideas and contributions!
The challenge will start Friday, October 15, and will end on Sunday, October 25th. Voting will occur on the 26th and 27th with the winner announced on the 28th of October. All times will be based on Central (Chicago) time in the US.
You are free to enter as many shots as you like, the only rule being that your shot must have been taken within the time frame. The winner will receive the honor of hosting the next ETSOOI challenge.
All pictures must be tagged ETSOOI-56.
Please considering posting images to this thread as inspiration to others.
This is the first time I've played along with this one. I'm teaching myself Photoshop and edited a twister into a very boring photo to try to bring a bit of excitement into it.
@sailingmusic Go to the photo in your album and look just below it on the lower right. There are three dots so click those and an 'embed code' screen pops up. In that there's a box with the long code that is an URL to your photo. Highlight that (on my mac, it is automatically highlighted when I use the cursor to click in the box), and copy it. Then come back to this thread (I usually have two screens open to make it easier) and paste it into a comment box. When you hit return, the photo should appear. If you run into trouble, let me know and I can post it, I'm pretty sure.
Not being much of a 'editor', ETSOO-Ing doesn't come easily to me, but here's a fun one using the Waterlogue App on my iphone. It's a fun App.
