Thanks to Caroline B for hosting the previous challenge and selecting my entry as a finalist. Thanks also to all who voted for my album cover.
Now it's time to get creative and submit your album covers.
How do you play? Here's the info:
1. Go to Wikipedia and choose the link for "Random Article" on the top left side of the page. The first random article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/main_Page
2. Next go to the Quotations Page and choose "Random Quotes" from the left menu. The last 4 to 6 words of the very last quote is the title of your album. http://www.quotationspage.com
3. Next find or take a photo that fits the artist and title. Remember albums are square so crop your photo accordingly.
4. You are also allowed to use your favorite editing program if you so choose and can edit your photo as much as you want. But it must be your photo. Ace members have access to Picmonkey. Ribbet, iPiccy and BeFunky among many others have free on-line versions too. You can use any photo, old or new, but it must be processed within the time frame of the challenge.
5. You can enter multiple times.
6. Tag your pictures "albumcoverchallenge69".
7. In addition to tagging your image, feel free to post your image on this thread too. It encourages participation and can be inspirational to others who are thinking of giving it a try. To share a picture:
1. Go to the page that has the photo you'd like to post.
2. Click on the three dots (...) on the bottom right under your picture.
3. Find the 'embed code' box and right click on it to copy it, then paste it on this thread in the comment box.
Album Cover Challenge 69 begins Thursday September 8th 2016 and ends on Friday September 23rd at 8pm South African time. (GMT+1)
Finalists will be announced on Saturday September 24th and voting will be open until Wednesday September 28th at 8pm South African time. (GMT+1)
The winner will be announced by Friday 30th September.
Feel free to post your albums and artists here once you've picked them. If you have any questions post them here as well. I'll do my best to answer them.
So off you go! Grab those titles and artists off of Wikipedia and have fun! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Enjoy!
I might have a try this time round:
Quote: Laughter is an instant vacation. Milton Berle (1908 - 2002)
Artist: Klotten (a winemaking centre in Germany)
It is fortunate to be of high birth, but it is no less so to be of such character that people do not care to know whether you are or are not.
Jean de la Bruyere (1645 - 1696)
Sally - I am just a little confused regarding the band name - My article title was "Athletics at 2001 Summer Universaide - Women's 4 x 400m Relay".
Is my band called Athletics or Summer Universaide or Women's Relay?
Or is that my choice?
Everything else is clear.
@farmreporter Wendy, I would say that with such a long article title you could choose whatever portion you want or you could click random again and take that one.
album + one damn thing over and over
It's not true that life is one damn thing after another; it is one damn thing over and over.
Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892 - 1950)
House music!
album- all those people were at my show
"You know, you can't please all the people all the time... and last night, all those people were at my show." Mitch Hedberg
album -- absolutely necessary and absolutely impossible
(or maybe just absolutely impossible)
quote: Faith is, at one and the same time, absolutely necessary and altogether impossible.
Stanislaw Lem (1921 - 2006)
album - the fog that surrounds us
"Derive happiness in oneself from a good day's work, from illuminating the fog that surrounds us." - Henri Matisse (1869 - 1954)

Hopefully I'll manage to get a cover done this time!
@transatlantic99 definitely makes you think.
@carolineb7 love the title.
