Thank you so much for your votes on tag challenge 137. Also thank you, @dyanstevens Dyan Stevens for hosting the last tag challenge. So now, let's play!
Here are the rules for Tag Challenge 138:
Step 1: Go to the "Browse" section and select the "By Tag" link. Close your eyes and randomly click on a tag.
Step 2: Do it again - no peeking!
These two tags are now your photo assignment. You will use your two randomly chosen tags as an inspiration to create one picture that encompasses both tags... or for an added challenge you can try three tags if you want to!
Please CLEARLY state your two (or three) tags when you post your entries as this will let me know what your tags were. You may submit more than one entry (using the same tags).
For this challenge if you choose a set of words that you feel would be impossible to do anything with, rather than skip the challenge, you may opt for the host’s tag words of "monochrome" and "book" or for those of you doing the three-tag challenge, try "Monochrome", "book" and the last tag I got was the “bokeh” (selected randomly by me as above).
Start of challenge: Today, Monday, 6th, 2017
End of challenge: 12:00am morning in Central Time of Tuesday, February 21th, 2017
Voting starts: immediately after the end challenge date
Winner announced: soon after
Tag your entries tag-challenge-138
NOTE - Photos must be taken within the challenge time frame to be considered for a vote.
The number of finalists will be chosen depending on number of entries.
So if you participated in the last two tag challenges you have been tagged here. I have also added many people from the new faces page and want to Welcome you to 365Project - If you never participated in a challenge before this is a good one to start with! If you have trouble figuring something out let me know.
Also, would love to see your shots so don't forget to post them on this thread!!
Since this is challenge 138 I would like to get at least 38 people joining the challenge. Can we do it????
@365projectorgjenfurj Hmm that could be interesting, If you get frustrated try adding another word that might just give a little more direction & inspiration OR use the tags picked by me - monochrome & book
Ok here goes..I am on your newbie list and want to enter :) I got 'history' and 'colour' . If you look at my project you will see I have a collection habit for antique cups and saucers but the ones I have featured are not colourful..... but I have many bright ones to choose from . So I am going to choose some now..pre Victorian era I think...
@wylieclicks Go to the photo. Click on the arrow button underneath the photo. When you do that, an embed code comes up. Click in that box and it will be highlighted. Hit ctrl C on your keyboard (or right click and go to copy). Then go to the thread and in the comment section you'll hit ctrl V (or right click paste). A bunch of weird letters and numbers will show up. Just hit "post reply" below and the picture will show up. Hope I made this clear enough :)
Yay!!!!!! Very clear thank you. Here it is... cups that people could have been drinking out of while discussing the opening of the world's first passenger steam railway. They are all C1825, Queen Victoria would have been 6 years old! History+ colour :)
@robz Oh I can't wait to see what ideas you have for that one! :) @dyanstevens LOL I love your thinking - I'm ready to go to bed soon so my coffee is wearing off :) Oh it will be fun to see the shot you come up with @wylieclicks Oh that is such a great interpretation of those tags - @not_left_handed thank you for helping Sheila - hope you join in the fun too! :) @stefneyhart Oh that sounds like some creativity needed for that one - can't wit to see your idea @salza Oh Sally I've seen some of your creativity in the past - it will be fun to see what you come up with this time :) @yorkshirekiwi Wow, very cool interpretation @365projectorgjenfurj Yes that works for sure - nice response to the tough challenge! I love the soft feel of this shot. Now that you have this one you will probably start seeing all kinds of ideas so feel free to add more if you wish.
Not many castles here - had to resort to the leaves of books for ideas.
Maybe some other ideas will come to mind. Probably being able to do cool editing would help too. Good fun though and Croaky's story does have a happy ending. He realises that his lily leaf is actually his very own castle.
@wylieclicks Thanks for the positive support Sheila - it is good to have to think about what might fit. Your cups are excellent for your words. And I really like their history. What a great collection to have. Cheers
@robz dare I admit to having at least 600 cups? Mostly with saucers and a smattering of tea pots and cake plates too..then there are the jugs! I am sure I will be using them for my project throughout the year as I want to do a lot more still life, lot more using my tripod and lots more use of 50mm lens I am stuck in a groove with my 300mm zoom at moment.
@wylieclicks Sheila - my girls think I'm a terrible collector but your cups ace any of my assorted collections. I will look forward to seeing many more of them!!
@robz I love this one - it does make me think about one of those draw bridges on a castle and the focus on the ant is very cool. Like this one even more than your other shot
@brender creative use of your tags - great results @dyanstevens now you for sure used those tag words well - I can imagine what my eyes are like before I get my coffee
I thought I would post a few more entries not posted on this thread.because they were too shy or whatever.
