Hi – it’s time to vote for the winning Macro shot - with the theme of “Colour”.
Thanks to everyone who entered their colourful images – as always it was hard to choose finalists. In fact, because there were 64 wonderful entries it was nearly impossible. I thought it would be nice to showcase more than 5 of them.
So, I thought I would cheat and give each of you the opportunity to pick your TWO favourite images from the following ten finalists. Just vote as normal - but please put TWO numbers into the comment box. All votes will have equal value and will be totalled as normal.
Please choose your TWO favourites from the following images:
@ginaanderson Hi Gina - thanks for your feedback. I must admit there were so many entries that I was a bit overwhelmed. As I don't have a theoretical photographic background I had to resort to what I do know how to do. I checked the definition for the word Macro and kept in mind that the image should be larger than the object. However, as I had posted the challenge as "colourful close-ups" I did not stick to this entirely. I did only choose images which had excellent focus as that is one of the key concepts associated with macros. And finally, as the theme had been "colour" I choose photos which filled the frame with colour. As I said - it was extremely difficult. I guess that many people have easy access to brightly coloured flowers and hence there were a lot of excellent responses using flowers. I hope this explains how the list of finalists was produced. Cheers Rob
I vote for number 10 and 4.
Thanks for including mine

Would have been nice to have had more variety in the options maybe. Lots of flower shots there :)
