EOTB98 Challenge Starts Today

July 10th, 2018
Jo
Thank-You for voting for my Drips photo, it was truly unexpected also a big Thank-You to Wendy @farmreporter for hosting the previous challenge.

Here is a description of the EOTB challenge:

Jeff Walker, who started this challenge quoted Margaret Wolfe Hungerford (who is credited with coining the phrase in 1878) "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so the aim of this challenge is to capture something most people would not consider to be beautiful or interesting and find a way to portray it so that it comes across differently and aesthetically pleasing.

You can achieve this any way you wish but remember it is not an post-processing or editing (ETSOOI) challenge so a bit of editing is okay, but please do not overdo it. This is a great challenge to help with composition and lighting skills. The way you compose the shot or the way you use light will bring out the beauty of your subject. It will also help you look at your surroundings differently.

There is no specific item or theme for this challenge, but you will want to find a subject that if people were watching you taking the shot, they would be wondering what on earth has possessed you to photograph something which seems so ordinarily, plain, bland, boring, ugly, etc.
This is a wonderful opportunity to challenge yourself in giving recognition to something that seems just ordinary or not so pretty. I am looking forward to seeing all of your brilliant photos.
