I love this tiny detail from a large sampler - the whole image is just under an inch on the original. I’ve been playing with traditional methods recently and am enjoying trying to get the same effects in digital.
Chose this one, not so much because of any sort of photographic merit but, because this type of sparrow passes through our area in spring and fall and only stays around for a few days so I'm happy to be able to catch a picture of them before they are gone again.
I have a weak spot for these sorts of urban-slice-of-life scenes. But I don't do a whole lot of them, because I live in suburbia, and have a bigger weak spot for nature....
I was in Pittsburgh this week to pick up my son from college, this was just a couple of blocks from our hotel (on the South Side of Pittsburgh)
It has to be this one, the view from the top of Ingleborough, in the Yorkshire Dales, the third and final hill climbed during the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk (a 24 miles, three hill walk!)
I like this one because it was taken quite by chance. I was passing through our garage (to get something for another shot I was trying to do) and saw this against the wall.
