How many times can I enter the theme competition?

I am really new to this website and am a little confused with things. I tagged two of my photos that I took this week for the theme competition and am wondering if I was allowed to do two of them? I also have another idea for a third one,.. but again, not sure if I am supposed to submit it. Any advice would be helpful!

Also, if you win the competition, do you actually "win" anything or how does that work?

I'm also a bit confused but think you're allowed to have as many cracks at it as you like. I'm intending to have another go tonight. As far as I know the top 5 are chosen (I'm assuming by the people who run the website) and then we choose our favourite from those 5. The eventual winner gets to pick the next theme.

Like I said that's just my understanding of it so I could be wrong :o)

Seven entries are allowed :) if you win the theme, you pick the following week's theme.

You can enter more than once :) I've seen one person get two photos in the top 5 before...

When dates are listed, do the photos have to be taken in that time period?
