Flash of Red February Has Come to an End

But the memories will live on… well, maybe it’s not that sentimental but I hope you’ve enjoyed the month. Whether black and white comes naturally to you or whether it was your first time exploring the genre, whether you used the prompts or did “your own thing” you should be able to look at your calendar and be impressed with your accomplishment!

So why not show it off to your 365 friends? Or maybe you’d prefer to post your favorite shot of the month. Use the discussion thread below to showcase your Flash of Red 2020 successes.

Posting Your Calendar View:
Go to your February 29th picture and click on the photo # underneath your photo. The calendar view will appear. Find the button on your computer which allows you to take a screen shot. (On my computer it is in the task bar and has 3 dots on it. Yours might be slightly different. I apologize for my lack of tech-savyness here!) Select “Take a Screen Shot” from the pull-down menu. Your computer should give the option to crop the picture to your liking (if it doesn’t you can always do that in post-processing). When you get your picture where you want it, select “Download” on the screen shot screen and file it in your computer. You can now upload the Calendar View to 365 just like you upload your pictures.

That’s how I capture a screen shot- you may have some variation of this, or others may have a better way and correct me below!

Sharing your calendar view in the Discussion Thread:
You will need to have two separate windows open for this. Open the Discussion Thread for Flash of Red in one window and open your posted Calendar View from your project in the other. On the screen with your calendar view page, click on the arrow below your picture. Highlight the text under “embed code”. Left click and select “copy” from the drop-down menu. Jump back to the window where you opened the “Flash of Red February Has Come to an End” discussion and left click in the comment box. Select “paste” from the menu. Text will appear in the box. The picture of your calendar will appear when you click on “post reply”.

Again, since I am not the world’s most savvy person when it comes to this tech stuff, there may be another way to do this, but this is what works for me!

Thanks to all who participated! I am always humbled by how many of you look forward to the month and take part in it.
