Winner - PWYD1

November 18th, 2011
Afternoon!
I'd like to congratulate @harsha on winning the PWYD challenge! What a beautiful result!

I know it's probably "not in the spirit of the game" but it's my game so I'll say it anyway(!) I'd like to thank @ltodd for her amazing attempt at restoring the photo back to as close as it was in reality. I realise that I have the advantage over everyone else in knowing what it would have looked like if it had been shot with the correct exposure (because I was there, and you weren't!), and I have to say that @ltodd nailed it.

As I explained in the voting thread I may not have initially explained what I was after clear enough (which is probably why most people used elements of "arty" editing). Having said that, after seeing them I really liked some of them, so I'm really sorry if Lyn feels hard done by the fact that included these in the short list!

Well done everyone - they've all been great!
(I won't show you the mess I first created before thinking of starting a challenge for it!)

Have a great weekend! x

What does PWYD stand for, please?

@pamelaf Please Would You Do - an idea I had when I realised it was a shame that a photo I'd taken was overexposed (I'd taken a series of 3 at different exposures with HDR in mind, but the horse moved its head giving me 3 different photos at 3 different exposures, the overexposed one being the best head position) - details here - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/9217/pwyd1
