Thanks to Archie and all who participated in RAWCOMP18. It is an honour to be selected to host the next RAW challenge!
To join the RAWCOMP challenge you first download the dng image from the link below and then edit it using your RAW editor only (eg Lightroom, Adobe Camera RAW or the editing software that came bundled with your digital camera). The resulting file is then saved as a jpeg, uploaded to your 365 album and tagged RAWCOMP19. The challenge host will select finalists from the submissions.
The picture I have selected for you to edit was taken in Bali in 2012. (remember you don't edit this jpg version) I have tried to find an image with lots of tone & texture to work with.

The dng files can be read by any RAW software program – free or commercial. A sample RAW edit workflow is at http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2013/03/19/how-to-process-raw-images-the-right-way/
"All editing must be done with a RAW processor, using no other software or plugins" - so use either Lightroom, Adobe Camera RAW, the RAW processing software that came with your camera, but nothing else that does anything more than RAW processing. There are some free RAW file processors available if you do not have one. see http://365project.org/discuss/general/19765/raw
This challenge is NOT about using ‘photoshop’ editing, plugins such as NIK or Topaz, or any other editing other than RAW processing. This differentiates it from WWYD, where any editing goes. Cropping the photo is allowed but must be done within the RAW processor."
All entries must be submitted by 9 PM Australian EDST on April 21 and the finalists will be announced on April 22.
Don't forget to tag your photo RAWCOMP19 and if you wish, post your edited images here using the ‘share’ code from your album page.
This challenge is a great way to learn something new, good luck everyone and I do look forward to seeing your entries!
Nice base image Lyn....I seem to be getting edged out on these rawcomp as well as the WWYD challenges lately...lots of final vote entries but no cigar....I'll have a go at this later....
Hi all as you can see from above i dont know how to drop a photo into a thread. Can anyone please explain it to me? I hope you dont hold my inability to do that against me : )
@soseema If you look below your photo you'll see the little cog to edit, speech bubble to leave a comment, star to mark a Fav and three wee dots. Click on the dots and copy the code from the box that opens then paste that into your comment hth :)
