Forgotten Planet

August 1st, 2014
Lately I have been watching a show on Netflix called "Forgotten Planet" - it's about places that were once abundant with people and industry but are now "forgotten." Places like Pripyat, Ukraine; Picher, Oklahoma; and Salton City, California. I am including a website about Picher . . . I was wondering if anyone on 365 has ever had a chance to visit and photograph any places such as these. I cannot even imagine the wealth of images one could find in such places.

If you have visited/photographed some of these places, please share on this site and tag the photos "forgotten-planet" . . . I think we would all love to see some!

oh, I've been to the Salton Sea alright. That place had a stench like I'll never forget. What a toxic wasteland:

I've seen that film as well. I don't know why I'm fascinated with desolate and destroyed places. Here's my web album: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/105040938187141192745/albums/5738430625493695665
