A good friend of mine, Nancy Riley, who is a fantastic photographer agreed to make a "how to" guide and share some of her secrets to getting amazing Hummingbird photos.

Now those are useful tips. All I need to do is find some hummingbirds (unfortunately, short of going to a zoo, I am unlikely to find them in the wild in the UK) :(

@creampuff All I can do is admire from afar because we don't have them here in Australia either :(

Neither in Germany... :( Lucky Americans that they have them! :D

No wonder I've not been successful! The detailed description of how to do this right is VERY helpful. We only have one kind that lives east of the Mississippi River in the US and I've tried for years to capture a good picture of one of them. It does take planning and dedication as Nancy' description shows, but the results are quite outstanding.

Oh, that is very interesting and helpful! Although, just like @creampuff and @bella_ss , I live in the Old World and we don't have hummingbirds.

@justaspark They are, hummingbirds are on my bucket list to see, I'm not sure I would ever get a pic though.

@taffy Dedication is definitely the right word Taffy but she has taken the best hummingbird shots I have seen. I hope you eventually catch yours.

@laetitiapetrussa A good excuse to go to the US in search of them :)
