I had a lot of panoramic views this week but have chosen this butterfly.

I was lucky with the light that day

January 25th, 2015
I took an hour out of a meeting at lunchtime and went for a walk. This gave me some energy for the afternoon.

January 25th, 2015
I was pleased with this frosted rose
January 25th, 2015
I was really taken by its apparent wavy hairdo as well as the way it was perching on such a prickly bramble.
January 25th, 2015
my first Birmingham photowalk
January 25th, 2015
It's been really grey lately again, so it was nice to see the sun one morning!

I love Robins.....
January 25th, 2015

I took this photo on a day when I was feeling a bit uninspired, but then remembered this week's mundane challenge theme, candle(s). I ended up having lots of fun playing with the light.
January 25th, 2015
Because it was tiny :)
January 25th, 2015

Loved all the pink heather

January 25th, 2015
Opportunities like this don't come about all that often. So glad I was there to get it.
January 25th, 2015
I really like this. It was a bit by accident - as in fact i was taking a pic of my feet againts the blue sky.. and then this poppet walked by!! (i cropped my toes out!)

January 25th, 2015
Because I just love being there!

January 25th, 2015
Because I was pleased to see him again as I had been hunting him out for about 10 days. This little stonechat is not a common visitor to our part

January 25th, 2015
An overcast day except for those couple of minutes when the sun made a brief appearance....and my camera smiled.

January 25th, 2015

I had Lots of favorites this week. But I really like this one!!!
January 25th, 2015
This one because there aren't many shots of this boats on 365.
January 25th, 2015
Chose this one to add a splash of colour to a week of rather grey weather

I love this photo for 2 reasons - because I know this is what Lily does after I tell her to turn her lights out...and because I'm so glad I was able to create the photo that was in my head.

January 26th, 2015
I went a bit nuts with the texture, but I love it!

January 26th, 2015
I got great photos of both daughters and chose this one because it was a new technique that I feel much more comfortable with now!

The title says it all! ;)

This is mine because it was a happy occasion. Our daughter's birthday.
January 26th, 2015
Kindness: A kind lady from an antique store in front of the Greek Temple dropped a basket of food and water down to the bottom of the ruins early in the morning so that this alley cat could have her breakfast.

January 26th, 2015
I chose this one because it took many, many tries to get a photo that wasn't blurry!
January 26th, 2015
I like the way this turned out to fit the heavenly caption and quote:
January 26th, 2015
Because how often do you get wildlife to pose for you like this?

January 26th, 2015
Because I waited 3 years to get this shot and did it without any fancy drop equipment ~ just a hole cut into the bottom of a plastic water bottle and some luck in my timing!!

because i think it portrays emotions of people who don't really like each other at that time and I love candid photography

I did a dye shot before and disliked it so much that I just had to redo it. This is my revision. So much happier with this outcome.
January 26th, 2015
I pick this one because it is something different from what I usually shoot. It was pointed out to me that most of my shots have water, a pier or a sunset in them. So this one shows that I do venture out of my comfort zone on occasion.

January 26th, 2015

I took this on a lovely weekend stroll around Cambridge
January 27th, 2015
Because I had fun with it & let go of the self criticism...

January 27th, 2015
Even though this doesn't actually look like me, I really like the pseudo-double exposure effect of flash + long exposure. I am also pleased with the processing, particularly the colour scheme.
January 27th, 2015
This was my favorite because I love shallow dof technique and I also love photos of ice.

January 27th, 2015
Because I’m a sucker for bokeh and blue is my favorite color.
January 27th, 2015
This was just the run-up to another photo. But after processing, I think I may like the finished result of this one better.
January 27th, 2015
Because it glows so much I can feel the sun:

It's very very hard to take a nice parrot portrait with an iPhone so I'm proud of this :-)
January 27th, 2015
This took a while to make and fulfilled my Get Pushed challenge to create a montage of portraits using light to create mood in each image.
January 27th, 2015
@laetitiapetrussa Absolutely love yours!
January 27th, 2015
@roachling Hi. I think that you need to redo the time frame in the instructions at the top as it still says 5th - 11th Jan!!!
January 27th, 2015
Because this represents one of the things I'm passionate about as a doula... maternity and birth - new creation - new life - new beginnings.

There are some awesome shots on this thread! For me its this one, because she's my daughter and she's only 6 and I love her concentration.
January 27th, 2015
This one, because I so rarely am home during a snowstorm to photograph the birds while it's snowing; I'm usually at work.

January 27th, 2015
This one because I've been planning on taking it for years! x

January 28th, 2015

Explored strings and tangles this week...
January 29th, 2015

This is my fav from the past week because it shows my husband and daughter having fun together. They do not see each other much during the week so the weekends are precious.
