Multiplicity,cloning on PS Elements 12

Is anyone able to put me in touch with a link or explain how you clone in an image using ps elements 12 or similar. I need it explained quite simply please. Don't understand the masks.

There are also some very nice YouTube videos available. Do a Google search for using layers in elements 12 and see if what pops up is useful to you.

If you are just using the cloning tool just ignore masks you don't need them or maybe you mean something more complex.

12 does not have the merge aspect which 13 has. I am going to sit down and try tonight and let you know how I get on. I have the photos .
