Don't often stage flowers but I can not get down to the nodding frittillaria so picked these for a home shot and was quite pleased with the composition and crop. Even the bubbles played nicely for this one.
This one is my favourite, because the mysterious amphibian eggs I found finally developed into tadpoles and then these glorious froglets conquered the land just a few days ago. The result of a few weeks of love and care. Although thet did most of the work (and it was a lot of work they did), it still feels like an accomplishement!
This is the first frog to come on land.
A very difficult week to choose only one as I did a series on Zion National Park, one of the most beautiful places in the world. But this image of The Narrows, a 16 mile long slot canyon, is my favorite of the week:
I'm still learning how to best use my new camera and macro lens I just had to have. I'm really enjoying it and glad I re-joined the project after a long stretch.
Even though I had two pics reach the popular page this past week (which is so rare for me and I am SO grateful for that!), I had to choose this picture of my pup Nala. She's eating one of her treats, making a mess, and posing so adorably for the camera. I just love her so much and I know I'll cherish this picture down the road.
This should be on everyone's bucket list to see in person as it is the only place I've been on Earth where it looks totally different in person than in photographs. It is so immense that images can not adequately show it. But I tried anyway:
I was very excited to have two photos on the popular page between the 13th and 19th. However, my personal favourite of the week was a different one - it was this fun one of "hedgehogs".
had wanted to take a photo of these for a while and the Sugimoto challenge gave me the reason to do it!

This has been on my photography bucket list for a while. Finally got a lightning shot.
Just a reminder of the remainds of fall as the new season springs into life.
