I am sorry for the delay starting this, but there was a death in the family and the funeral was yesterday.
This is an easy fun challenge open to everyone. Once you have taken 30 or more photos the flashback link will appear in the box below "View this month" under "Photo Details". Hopefully as we go back in time we will see that our photography skills have improved and maybe even have a laugh or two at what we once thought were good enough to post.
Click the Flashback View link and it will take you to one of your past photos.
This is a fun and random way to share some of our older work... try not to cheat, and use the first image it gives you, even if you aren't too fond of it!
To share: Underneath your photo is a curved arrow to the right (β¦). Click on the arrow and there will be an "Embed Code" you can copy. Copy that then paste in the comment box below.
So post your photos here and let the Flashbacks begin
@cottiac@dyanstevens - Thank you for your kind words. It was my wife's uncle that died. He was 96! His brother died 3 months ago and they were inseparable through life. The family wondered when Uncle Arnie died how long Uncle Bill would last. Uncle Arnie had just turned 100.
I'm so sorry to read about the loss of these special family members, Skip. How many of us can imagine being so close to a family member and sharing a life together for that length of time! They were blessed!
My photo takes me back to a delightful cruise with several other couples; it was a fabulous time!
@Weezilou Thank you Louise. I consider myself very blessed for having known these two men. Uncle Bill was one of those people who had great wisdom that he graciously passed on to those who were willing to listen. And he didn't do it in a condescending way, The thing that I admired about Uncle Arnie was that at an early age his wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and later became confined to a wheel chair. He took care of her as well as cooked and cleaned after he came home form work for years before she succumbed to her illness. You never heard him complain. He took his marriage vows very seriously. "In sickness and in health, until death do us part." Now they have been rejoined with their parents, wives, brothers and sisters who preceded them!
@kiwichick - Thank you Leslie! Can you imagine that changes that he saw take place in the last 96 years? WWI ended, the first model T rolled off the assembly line and women won the right to vote to name a few.
My flashback takes me back to our great European trip last year. This was in the South of France. The view from Queribus castle
