Photo "Ark" - documenting the world's vanishing species

March 1st, 2017
National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore has been giving at-risk species their chance at a glamour shot for eleven years. About 6,500 shots... another 6,000 to go.

He was interviewed about his life's work here: http://www.npr.org/2017/02/27/517481473/photographer-builds-a-photo-ark-for-6-500-animal-species-and-counting

Push on the blue circle, with the triangle (upper left side), to listen to thirty minutes of what it takes to be a National Geographic photographer in the wild and why this project matters to him (and to the rest of us).

For a "greatest hits" of some of these beautiful photos, check out here: http://www.joelsartore.com/galleries/photo-ark-greatest-hits/

Hope you can spare a few minutes for this. Thanks for checking it out.
