***YOUR VOTES PLEASE - Artist Challenge - Mark Power***

October 21st, 2017
There were only 6 photographers who participated in this round. Where there were more than one entry from a photographer, I chose the entry that most closely captured the essence and/or style of Mark Power's works, yet still retaining their own artistic stamp.

Here then are the photographs I have chosen for you to vote on:

1. Postcard from Redhill 2 by Sarah @sarahlth - a shot from her own locality that is in the vein of Mark Power's "Postcards from America VI" series

2. Sweets in a Bowl by Sally Ings @salza - a more elaborate and elegant version inspired by one of Mark Power's "Open for Business" series of photographs

3. Bakklandet (again) by Joanna @anotherhouseblog - distinctively her own style and environment, this is reminiscent of Mark Power's "Livelab" photographs and his "Postcards from America Wisconsin" series

4. Helene-rest in peace by Kali @kali66 - an emulation of one of Mark Power's "Peacehaven Homes Fit for Heroes" but with her unmistakable Kali style

5. Urban by Brigette @brigette - a variation on a shot of intersecting tracks in rural America in Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia project series

6. Tonka Truck by Louis A. Sousa @pickerandagrinner - calls to mind a particularly poignant scene in Mark Power's "Lost Cities" project

Voting starts now, Saturday, October 21 and ends at midnight, Toronto/New York time, on Monday, October 23, 2017.
