I also look for things the way you do, Jackie but there are a lot of different ways to find things.
I guess going to 'Discuss' the top menu bar and then scrolling down to General may be faster when the Latest Discussions and Hot Topics fill up and the SH*T List gets pushed back a couple of pages within days of getting posted.
