Which is better, a smaller or bigger picture res?

I've been resizing my picture to a smaller resolution [example 700x467], should I do that or just leave the size alone? Or it doesn't matter at all? ;o

I guess it depends on what you want to do with your picture. For sharing on internet, printing regular 4x6, low resolution will be fine. You will need high resolution image if you would like to enlarge the picture for print. Why do you want to reduce the resolution, anyway? For space?

Oh I forgot to add, I'm referring to the pics that I'm uploading to this site :D I don't know if it's just me...but the picture seems clearer/better if it's smaller? More on...if 365project has a bandwidth limit to the photo size. I guess that's what I'm afraid of ;o

Oh, my mistake :-) I'm pretty new to this site and i
I've been uploading my regular size jpeg. I haven't paid attention if the site is automatically reducing resolution or if it can handle it. I'll let the aces and other long-timers answer this.

@ikamera @audreyssee You don't have to resize your photo to upload it to the site. The magic monkeys take care of the size after you download it. Just kidding about the magic monkey part, but seriously, you don't need to resize.

Welcome to 365!
