I have a basic p&s camera, nothing fancy. I edited a lot of my pictures to get a little bit more out of them, but sometimes I just don't know what I should do.. so I'm asking for anyone who's interest in playing around with an image.. show me what you would do to the image below.. I feel like it will help me more with editing ideas in the future. Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure where you have this picture loaded too.....but if you put in your album, it would be easier for someone to grab it and play around with it!
i quite prefer your original to the other people's edits. it has a very natural look to it. maybe up the contrast a little bit, but not as far as @kbradbury bumped it up because the colour around the eyes are starting to go weird. The first thing i thought of with your shot was red eye reduction (which kate did).
If you're confident with photoshop, i would consider toning down the shadows in the corners of the photo which are a bit distracting (especially bottom left corner).
@bitchin1589 I did some photoshop but no idea how to upload it here. Here are the links to those pics. If you can let me know how to upload it the photo to the page that would be really great. Thanks
Otherwise till then you have to copy the below links and paste to the address bar to get diverted to the page where i have saved them
@dirtyangel@griff Put the photo in your album way back like 2010 or so.....put a short "edit for someone else" in the caption and then you can upload it here. Or if you have it someplace else on the web if you click the how can I format my reply below the reply box and you will see the img src selection. type that in here but obviously replace URL with the actual url....it will show.
Probably something like this :) A bit of spotlight as she obviously likes being centre of attention and some sparkly on the pearls. Hah. Hope you like it.
Hi Chelsea, hope you like this. I created a duplicate layer in photoshop which I use to blur the backgound to keep the focus on your little girl. Also sharpened and brightened her eyes a little. Andy
Hello, I know its a bit much but I like to play with portraits in this way. It incorporates alot of PS techniques and helps me practice some basic skills. Adorable child. Hope you like it (:
I took away some of the nappy and enhanced the colours although I tried it in black and white and really liked it as well
I just chucked some curves on it to lighten it up and smooth it out, and the crop.
Either way it's a very cute picture

Made it a little more muted colours and sepia, played with contrast and curves, and added a little haze to it.
Thanks a bunch!
