Does anyone know how to record an action to make a set that is reusable on other images? How do you create a new background layer in an action that doesn't give a "the object layer background is currently not available" box?
I'm stuck on how to do this without creating a new layer or duplicating the background
1. It seems like your background is locked. You can unlock it by double clicking the layer and giving it a new name. You can do this while recording an action but it will never be transparent so it's no use placing a new background under the old one!
2. If you have a script that doesn't copy but does a paste you can run the script after you copy your reusable image. Your clipboard image will be used to paste during the batch. However, the new image will be on top of the layer you selected before. If that was your newly unlock background you can if you like place the new layer under the old background and maybe hide the old one...
