Lens error for 2 years

Hi guys!
So if you are reading this i have had a lens error on my canon point and shoot camera for 2 year. [[2]] I am wondering if any of you have any tricks or tips that i could use to have a normal camera again.
Nothing that cost money please!

You didn't mention what model camera you have, so I Googled, "Lens error on canon camera" and got this hit for an E18. I hope it helps!
