Important thing though is to relax ... You have 3 songs (Normally the rule), so take your time. But ... make sure your battery is fully charged (And the spare if you have one) and your memory cards are cleared down.
And try and get a shot of the drummer! No-one ever takes a shot of the drummer ...
I'm trying to wrangle a pass for Level 42, so hopefully come Tuesday I'll be as excited and nervous as you!
People in the top and bottom photos are friends of mine (One is the lead singer of Mike and The Mechanics, the other isn't ...!) whilst the middle two are from last year's Hard Rock Calling.
Thanks so much Ed! This time Ed Sheeran is not using a band so I've only him to concentrate on. I'll take a look at the site and do all the research I can.
If I feel I'm successful at this gig how would I go about get photo passes for future ones? I got this one through a friend who works for Yamaha and knows EVERYBODY! ;)
I got the Mechanics pass (And Hard Rock Calling) as my mate is the lead singer ... For Level 42 I got in touch with someone on Twitter who did photos for them in Glasgow, he in turn gave me the e-mail address of the production agency ...
Got any venues near you? Offer to do photos for free for them. All experience, and a fun one at that!
Looking forward to seeing the photos of Ed .. Try not to overcompensate for his hair!
Aaaaargh! It was AMAZING!!!! What a blast! I held my ground and got where I wanted despite the other photographers but they were all pretty nice anyway. I'm just editing at the moment!!!! Thanks Ed!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jlhopgood/8112237571/in/photostream - this was my third picture of Ed Sheeran. The lights were really bright and all the photographers (I'm pleased to say not just me) were frantically changing camera settings to cope with the brightness. Pretty pleased so far :)
I've done a little bit of gig photography, and did pretty much the same as you suggest, but found this site useful:

The 3 you have up on Flickr are excellent! I love the angle of the first, but number 2 is my favourite.
I've added you as a contact, that way you can see my Level 42 ones from tomorrow night (I got the pass!)
