We have some heavy storms that are about to roll through central Indiana and it got me excited about the opportunity to attempt some lightning shots. I hope to try this and have some results before the end of spring/summer.
I took this photo last year! Used tripod and remote... Set to manual and bulb. I did a couple test shots for lighting and focus purposes... Main way that I was able to capture them was opening the shutter and once lightening struck closing shutter . Make sure your battery is filling charged as this is very draining on it!
I love storms and I am so wanting to try get that elusive lightning shot but haven't had a good storm since Dec last year! Storms seem to avoid me....for example, just got home from holidays...there was a storm last night round where we had been staying! No fair!
