Yesterday I post a photo of a tree with wonderful blossom. This tree stands on a small square just in front of our appartment. One week a year it looks amazing all those trees with two different kinds of blossom. But I couldn't make a very interesting photo of it. I wonder if you have a idea how I could make a photo from blossom that looks different than the normal (very good) photos you can find on the internet. I get a advise to use a tele lens.
Please can you give me advise?
As Sheila said - shoot close, macro even =) Try to shoot not only from you eyesight but from below, to make sky as a blue background =)
In my case the sky was grey ^^
You need pretty good conditions for shooting the blossom on a whole, unless you're looking into isolating one flower. It is quite difficult, I've found, shooting into bright back light the blossom can appear almost silhouetted. I've found in pretty shady areas is best, and a good blue for the sky...

Black and white...
I'd advise keeping it soft and natural and scrapping the tone-mapping for flowers.
This one put the focus on the bench using the tree as a frame or background.
Here I found fallen petals against the texture of the bark.

Or isolate just a few sprays against the sky.?

I took this one a couple of days ago.
