Hello! All of my work has been done very simply using an IPhone 3g (Yes, really!) and Picasa. For whatever reason, though the phone is connected and charging, the computer does not know the phone is plugged in. I have not been able to download in days. Tried everything.
All I know is that I downloaded an upgrade for the phone and since then, poof....the phone and computer no longer "speak". Eeekk.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!
Best,
Kelly
Kelly, do you have a memory card in your phone? If you do, you can get a USB plug in for SD memory cards and use that. You just plug the USB adapter that has ports for memory cards into your USB slot and then put the memory card into the reader and transfer the photos that way. Another thing you could do is go online and find your model of your phone and see if you need to download an installer program. I hope I've helped a little. Good luck!
I've had similar problems with my iphone 4s. It won't even charge from the computer. Search on apple.com for solution. First step updating or may be uninstalling and re-installing itunes (however, this did not work for me.) It used to be my pictures automatically downloaded to the icloud and magically showed up in my computer. Oh, those good old days!
@prttblues@pengu1n@abirkill@danielwsc Thanks, all. Im fairly certain it is my USB connector cord! How weird. Stay tuned...we are scrounging the house for assorted back up charging cord thingies. Wouldnt that be a simple and inexpensive fix. Crossing fingers. And toes..
Nope. Alas....it is the usb port in thePHONE itself. Time to replace it. Ive had for for a few years and love that it does NOT have all the bells and whistles. It has provided me countless amazing macro shots. Rest well, silly IPhone.....thanks sincerely to all who offered assistance. I barely slept.
