A QUESTION ABOUT PHOTOSHOP BORDERS/FRAMES

January 27th, 2011
Hello, I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. I use Photoshop CS3 for my processing. I've noticed several of the posters have used really neat borders on their work(s). I especially like the borders that look destroyed and aged. Where do you all find them? Thanks for any help you can give!

OnOne's PhotoFrame 4.6 is superb, if you're inclined to get plugins. I don't use them all that often, but when I do I am in love.

I love this company's products. Even if you don't want to invest the money, there is a ton of great ideas here. Over the US Thanksgiving holiday, they had a whole week of free templates that you could download. They were available through facebook, if you do that! I am using CS3 also, and they work fine for me.

I took an hour on my walk around Lady Bird Lake just shooting textures then building a master file with each texture as a black and white layer to be blended with a sample photo on the background layer. I built a master file for paint textures, wood textures, vegetation textures and stone textures and now I don't have to buy PhotoFrame4.6. On my list of things to do is photographing interesting frames from my old photo collection to use as source material. I know PhotoFrame4.6 would be easier but doing your own is more original.
